Custody disclosure
How Dollar Hub Exchange holds digital assets and what that means for you.
Last updated: 6 September 2026
1. What “custody” means here
For supported on-chain assets, we operate deposit addresses and hot-wallet withdrawal flows under our control (including cloud KMS-backed signing where configured). Your app balances are ledger entries that should match on-chain custody, subject to confirmations and ops controls.
2. Practice vs Live custody
Practice uses testnet (Chapel) assets and separate configuration from Live/mainnet. Live custody, when enabled, uses separate keys and networks. Practice balances are not redeemable as mainnet value.
3. Deposit addresses and custody moves
Your deposit address is for receiving supported tokens. After the required confirmations, we credit your Wallet balance. We may then move those coins from the deposit address into exchange hot-wallet custody so withdrawals can be paid. Your app balance does not decrease when that happens; a block explorer may show the deposit address near zero afterward. Treat your Wallet balance as the source of truth, not the live balance of the deposit address.
4. Controls
Withdrawals may require risk review, dual admin approval, velocity limits, and a broadcast kill switch. We may pause deposits or withdrawals for security, compliance, or maintenance.
5. What we do not do
We do not guarantee that any third-party exchange price, DEX pool, or bank rail will match our displayed reference prices. We do not provide cold-storage insurance language in this draft — counsel must approve any insurance or guarantee claims before production.
6. Incidents
If you believe a deposit was not credited or a withdrawal failed incorrectly, open a Support case in the app with the transaction hash or withdrawal id. Do not share seed phrases or private keys with anyone claiming to be support.
This page is a working draft for product launch preparation. Have counsel review and replace this text before production use.
